Pennsylvania's 4th Congressional District
United States Representative
The Hon. Madeleine Dean was elected to the 116th United States Congress for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (4th District) in 2016. Now in her third term, Congresswoman Dean serves on the House Judiciary and House Foreign Affairs Committees, as well as the Regional Leadership Council where she works directly with the White House to implement legislation like the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and the CHIPS and Science Act. Rep Dean is particularly dedicated to addressing our country’s addiction crisis and serves as Chair of the Bipartisan Fentanyl Prevention Caucus, Vice Chair of the Addiction, Treatment, and Recovery Caucus, and as a member of the Bipartisan Addiction and Mental Health Task Force. NAATP honored Congresswoman Dean and her son Harry Cunnane in 2022 with its Michael QW. Ford Journalism Award for their book, Under our Roof, a compelling story of their family’s struggle with and recovery from addiction. Rep Dean is focused on our country’s need for human decency and the common good, including guaranteeing health care for all Americans.
